I own a 2010 Ram 1500 Hemi Crew cab. I'm looking for suggestions about how to fix an intermittent problem with my remote(s). Every once in a while they both stop working at the same time. One is OE and the other is new. Batteries are good. They will quit for a few days and then start working again. The dealer hasn't a clue.
I think the problem is in the truck but I need guidance. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

It's possible it could be the remote RKE remote keyless entry system. I believe this info is for a 2009 dodge P/U, but here it is anyway.
The main module is the box you insert the key into, that's the receiver. Right under the dash. The other components are the antenna, which is also under the dash, a small box with a cable that extends out along the underside of the dash. The last component is the transmitter or the key.

This is pretty much how all RKE systems work even if you don't have a FOB type key, you still need a reciever, transmitter and antenna and they are typically VIN# specific coded. The bad news is I have only seen dealerships with the reciever/transmitter tool to test the signal transmission and the ability to reprogram.
