Remote Start problem any ideas?

Hey guys, I had a check engine light come on yesterday on my 2012 1500 5.7 Hemi Big Horn. I've got 52000 miles on it. The check engine code said its a EVAP leak. I checked the gas cap and its on tight so its going to the dealer tomorrow. Today I went out to start the truck with the remote start and it cranked up fine but after a few seconds it turned off and the message on the dash said Remote Start Disabled Start engine to Reset. I did it and tried to remote start it again. The same thing happened. Any ideas? Is this an inherent problem? I purchased it used from a Toyota dealership and its still under their warranty should I take it to the Dodge dealer under the remaining Dodge warranty? Any help is appreciated?

Remote start isn't working because the check engine light it on. Get the Evap leak fixed (likely an ESIM) and your remote start will work.

No problem. Check engine light and low gas and a couple other things will keep it from working too.
