I have a 2014 ram 1500 and want to add remote start to it.

I want the use the uconnect remote start "auto-on" options that I have seen available on the trucks I looked at while shopping. I assume I have to install a Mopar remote start, but Is there anything I need to do so the options now show up on my screen after I get remote start added

You'll probably have to get it flashed into the system by the dealer.

i'd hate to say it but most likely you are sol. unless somehow you can do it with a dealer installed "factory" one.

Ok. So what about the "on start" (cant remember the exact name) option so the heated seats and steering wheel come on after remote start?

I think you will be fine with the heated or cooled items but you will be using the remote not the app I think that would be the problem. You could go drone or smart start and then link them it would be easier probably and cheaper. The factory one is great at the house but range is very limited. My old truck even does the climate control, steering wheel and seats when using the factory remote start. If I use the added directed "auto start" or the app it does not.
