Hi Folks, new guy here. Thanks in advance for your help. I’m in rural southern Virginia.

Someone got a little too “up close and personal” in a parking structure and knocked off part of the passenger side RAM emblem (pic). What should I use to remove the adhesive?

Randy

I use 3M spray adhesive remover. If there's some residual leaving some small dirt lines behind I use an eraser wheel then give it a good wax & polish.

Both of the above products do an excellent job.

Great advice up above, I'm just shocked they managed to do that but not scratch or dent the panel? Impressive.

I've had good luck in the past with an Eraser Wheel, effective and quick.

To get the big stuff off, pinch it and pull it off pulling towards yourself at a 45 degree angle. Most, if not all should come right off with a little residue left ofer that will easilly come off with the eraser wheel

Yeah, that’s weird....almost like they were stolen...

Anyways, I just switched all mine over to black...a little heat and then Goo Gone worked real well for me. Sometimes the 45* thing worked, but other times not so much. A combination of all three will get it done. Good luck!

I've used Goo-Gone on badge adhesive as well as dealer-decal residue. Won't harm the clearcoat.

Removed my Emblems last Saturday. Only used soap and water. No residual tape or glue left. I guess I got lucky. However I did apply new badges.

Fishing line, fingernails, and a microfiber cloth will MEK. Keep a bucket of soapy water to wipe off the MEK after every letter........Bad things can happen.
