Replace 4th gen cargo light with a 5th gen cargo light

HI I have a 2018 gen4 dodge ram and want to replace the cargo light with a 5th gen assembly . Do they match up enough to do this thanks for anyone who can help

Mayhaps you should ask in the 4th gen section as this is 3rd gen.

Not sure why you would want to change to a 5th gen assembly. There are much better looking aftermarket ones for the 4th gen that use LEDs. With tinted windows, backing out of my carport in the dark with no street lights, I can turn on my cargo lights and actually see out of my rearview mirror
