Replacing Express trim with SLT trim

Hello everybody. This is my first post!

I recently purchased a 2016 blacked out Express 1500. I really love a lot about the truck, but I'm making a few changes to it in order to update it a bit and make it look a bit nicer on the interior than it already does.

My truck's interior has the Black / Diesel Gray Interior Colors. I think it all kind of looks a little drab. One thing I have noticed is that the SLT models tend to have a front bezel and surrounds around the air vents that are a sliver or satin (not chrome) color. I think that would look good in my truck as a nice accent. From what I can tell, those pieces tend to look good with the stock black/diesel gray interiors, as it seems like that's one of the main differences between the interior look of the two models.

Has anybody done that swap? I think the three pieces are all I would need to get. There are similar satin/silver inserts on my door panels.

Also, does anybody know if that satin/silver color is the same color as the satin steering wheel insert on the higher end models? I bought that steering wheel piece to swap out for the black one I currently have.

I think this could be a nice way to get some brigher accents in the truck, I just want to make sure it's possible and that it all of those silver/satin pieces are the same so I don't end up with mismatched accent trim.

Okay, so I think I found an example of pretty close to what I'm looking to do. In the attached picture, it looks like the black/diesel gray interior, but with the silver/satin center bezel and satin surrounds around the air vents.

From other photos I found, some of them have the satin steering wheel and it does seem like that wheel's color matches the satin on the A/C surrounds and the satin on my door panel.

I think this looks pretty good and I'm going to aim for it.

I'd still love to hear from anyone who has done something similar, or anyone who has an opinion on the silver/satin colors in the black/diesel gray interiors.

You might be able to find someone willing to trade your bench seat for buckets and the center console.

I actually like the bench seat. For now I'm really just planning on updating the accent pieces around the front bezel, steering wheel, and air vents.

I did already swap out the cubby for the upper upper glove box. Most of my mods will be functional, but I think the having the accent trim in the interior would liven up the interior a bit.

I think any Big Horn or higher trim will have that trim - my Outdoorsman vents are like that.

I recently upgraded the front steering wheel bezel on my SLT 3500...It's a closer match to the outer 'satin finish' from the ICS than the smaller amount of 'satin finish' around the center/side A/C vents...Picture may not be able to show the difference, but with the chrome Ram's head and 'switch trim', it's a good contrast...

If you look on Amazon they have color interior trim pieces for the steering wheel, vents, power window buttons, radio bezels, radio knobs and more.

I was looking at them for my truck. IMHO the red is a bit bright but the red carbon fiber isn't bad. These are just a couple of examples of what they have and the colors.
