Hey guys, hows it going! Its been awhile since ive posted, ive been busy hemifooting it around quebec and eastern ontario haha. well like everyone now im at home doing maintenance. so here is the question, im tuned with a superships 3842 with trans calibration, should i go back to stock program before doing the pan drop filter change and fluid change? i dont have a snap on scanner to do the quick learn after but from what ive been reading on here if you just change fluid driving gently afterwards should do fine.

ive got mopar atf+4, wix filters and a dorman trans pan with drain plug! the original one has a pretty decent rust spot on it so away she goes!

the truck is around 278 000 kms with the superchips 87 octane tune airaid jr intake tube and a flowmaster super 10 copy. still pulls harder than the day i got it, makes me smile every day!

No, not at all, nor would you need a quick learn. Quick learn is only needed if you replace the PCM or TCM (depending on year) or the trans itself. Curious as to where you heard or read any of that...
Drop the pan, change the filters. Top off. Enjoy.

Awesome! A garage i know with a snap on scanner said they do a quick learn on all trucks with this trans after they change the fluid. I guess they were just trying to make a sale like everybody.

Thanks!

Hilarious. All a quick learn does is reset the computer's knowledge of the clutch values. Only needs to be done for the reasons I listed above and occasionally if the shifts are off the CVI maybe off.
