Hello all,

Used the forum for info for a long time, but never made a post. Coming from 2018 and older rams, I assumed ALPHA OBD would be my solution for programming any and all modules as needed. After a short search I found that's obviuolsy not the case for 2019. I recently purchased a 2019 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 that was flooded during Hurricane Helene. Originally purchased to part out, but with less than 5k miles, it didn't seem right. I knew I was in for a job when I got the truck, but now after cleaning and replacing several parts, I'm having no luck getting any further. So far I replaced the TIPM (New), RF Hub (New), Ignition push button (New), Cluster(used) and BCM (New). I took it to the nearest dodge stealership and they were unable to program the RF Hub, and said they were unsure of how to replace more than one module at a time. They plugged it up after I left, then called and told me they were unsuccessful. I'm sure a different dealer might be able to figure it out, but considering I paid nearly $200 for them to tell me they "don't know" I'm very reluctant to try another dealer. I have ALLDATA diagrams for the truck, and I'm considering possibly bypassing the RF Hub altogether. I'm less than familiar with the functionality and I/O of the RF hub, but wonder if at its core, there is a way to supply power to a certain pin/wire and bypass the module altogether? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and at this point if someone could PM me exactly what is needed, I would gladly pay. Thanks in advance!

Do you have alfaOBD?

if your only concern now is the bypass cable, you can get those of eBay for about 12 bucks

I do indeed have alphaOBD and bypass cables (both types), but apparently alphaOBD can’t program the RF Hub on 2019+. Also, since the ignition doesn’t turn on, there’s no power to the modules for it to connect.

Sounds like you COULD have a FLOOD VEHICLE, I would suggest that if that is the case, you go back to the original plan.

The wiring modules, TPIM, Main Computer,
anything electric that was under water is likely JUNK
The 2014 RF Hub most likely on the back panel of the cab

This is the reason that insurance company's will not repair a flooded/water damaged veh. It just turns into a long battle with replacing electronics and wire harnesses. You get one thing fixed and find something else that is bad. Go back to your original plan as this truck will probably turn into a money pit.

Ages ago i had a 99 Mercury Cougar, fun little car BUT when they build it they used a plastic piece to connect the sunroof to the opening mechanism

So, by 30k miles every single one of them had a leaky sunroof (and fomoco knew it too, because when they did the facelift in 01 they replaced them with aluminum connectors)

As a result, you couldn't find a 01-02 cougar with a sunroof in the junkyard, that would be the first thing to go

Finally, I found on in Texas (I'm in Michigan) and remember this was before the days of car-parts.com, BUT they wouldn't sell it to me because as a unit the sunroof came with a sunroof motor and that made it an electrical part and this car happened to be a flood vehicle

So I said, listen, I understand you can't sell it at full price and with your regular warranty and return policy so let's do this...sell it to me for half price and I will waive the warranty and promise I will not return it

And they agreed!

So I got an 01sunroof for like 50 bucks...and it worked great, no more leaks

I had it in for less then two weeks when I totalled the car but as luck would have it, the only undamaged body panel was the roof

So I pulled the sunroof and put the old one back in before the insurance picked up the car, and put it on eBay for the 50 dollars I spend on it

It ended up selling for over 300 dollars
