Seems obvious, right? favorite thing about having a vinyl floor is... well, having a vinyl floor. Mud? wipe it off. sand, gravel, dirt? brush/wipe it out. whole cup of mcdonalds sweet tea? wipe it up!

I am just wondering if there is any kind of treatment I can use on the floor to make it shine more and be a blacker black, basically look like it did when I took it off the dealer's lot. But I am NOT putting armor-all on my floor and slipping all over the place. trust me, I made that mistake once with a previous truck back when I was an ignorant teenager. lmao.

You could try mothers back to black. Might wanna test somewhere you don't step often to see if it makes it slick.

Yeah I'll grab some of that I'm going shopping for cleaning/detailing stuff this weekend, sposta be pretty warm here by then, no more $10 automatic car washes, HAH!
I still remember when I put armor-all on the floor in my 95 silverado. I almost turned my male parts into female parts on the door jam when I went to get in the first time.

Really any trim or tire treatment is going to make it slippery. Especially something like back to black which the majority of its makeup is silicon. Silicon is also great at attracting dust and dirt and is the reason you've seen brown tires on cars and trucks before. I'd recommend something with no silicon and with an SPF to help protect your floor, dash, tires and anything else you plan to use it on.

Adams (sponsor here) has something called Super Vinyl Rubber & Tire (SVRT) that fits into that category. It too will be slippery, but leaving it over night and then leveling it off ie: removing the excess, will help reduce the lubricity some. SVRT has an SPF rating of 40, is highly water resistant, and is silicon free.

JMO.

A waterbased vinyl/plastic spray would be better for something like this...Something like Jax Wax Shine All.

SVRT is water based and able to be diluted and sprayed if you want. The cool thing is it also beads water and will last a couple of car washes. Adams In & Out spray is also a protectant, that's great for areas you can't get an applicator. Areas like air vents and such.

Remember to use you Adams forum code to save 10%!

I'm still searching for a floor mat of some kind that won't slide all over the floor of my ST. I refuse to try double sided tape or velcro...
