Rubbing

I have a 2012 ram 2500 with a 5in rough country lift 18x35 mts I have a rubbing issue when turning into driveway aprons any suggestions.

Sounds like your wheels have a ****** offset.
If stock rims ya expect rub
If aftermarket rims ya need a negative offset.

There's are plenty of guys running that kit with 37's
I'm gonna guess you have to much offset on your wheels and along with their control arm drop kit its causing rubbing on the backside of the lower fender when your turning

What offset are you running, and have you checked on what rims others are using with that exact lift?...let me do a little research and see what the most feasible wheel is being used.

Just did some minor scouting and it looks like for a 35x12.50 on a 18x10 wheel -24 offset looks pretty good in your favor.

-24 is too much I think
It stops the rubbing on the control arms but it pushes the tires put a lot causing rubbig on the back side of the lower fender
I have a 17x9 wheel with a-24 offset, 315/70/17 and a 2" level and have rubbing in this area and a bit on the drivers side fender turning into driveways like him
I have adjustable control arms and an adjustable track bar sitting inboxes waiting to be installed to hopefully stop this
I'm hoping to get a set of +3" coil springs too

Something else that might help that doesn't come with the RC kit is extended bumpstops although I'm not sure if it would limit the wheel travel before it hits

^^ like I said do the research,....I did very little but I also found many who where running that lift with that backspacing...me personally I agree You would think -18 would be perfect .... Let me help you out type in 09-12 or 4th gen or even 09,10,11,12 ram 2500 w/ 5" lift on 35"tires into " GOOGLE " hit " images " and scroll to website pics and usually you can find everything for the setup on that truck.

You sir also have a different generation right?.....correct me if I'm wrong

It is a different generation but the suspension is the same as well as most of the other factors
I have done alot of research on different model years too
2009 2500/3500 isnt a 4th generation body style either, have one of those sitting in the driveway too

4.5 backspace/-12 offset with a 9" wide wheel is the best bet for not rubbing on either common spot. -18 still pushes the wheel out a good bit and will probably rub on the lower part of the fender too

We could sit here say this will do that and so on but without more details from the OP its hard to say what would really fix the problem but I can assure you a wheel with a -24 offset is not going to help.

Something else I am curious is if the RC kit he has is the new one with the control arm drops rather then extended control arms and how close the control arm drop kit comes to keeping the wheel centered in the wheel well

Sorry it's been a while.... The reason why the generation of the truck is a big factor is because ont the new Rams the wheel well is a lot larger than the old Rams therefore allowing such an offset to work.. But hey, I'm No expert just dropping some knowledge for friend in need
