So I was speaking with the dealer from the 2nd link and while they are willing to negotiate price I have hard time believing they could get down to the price for the same truck at the other dealer (1st link). Can anyone explain, maybe a salesman on here why such a big difference in price for the same truck? It actually looks like the first truck may have a few more options.

Maybe one is a high volume dealer and the other isn't? Also I'd recommend looking up the build sheet on each, that will give you the complete breakdown on everything down to the rear gears it has, which the dealers don't usually list.

I got my Bighorn for that price with a sunroof so its definitely possible. Just make sure you qualify for all the incentives and check any additional with your bank or car buying service if you use one. I know sometimes dealers will post crazy discounts and when you look them up it turns out you have to be a woman farmer who is also a small business owner living in only like 3 specific states.

^^This

High volume dealer would get more in incentives from Ram so they would be able to sell at a lower price. The first one has Level 2 equipment group and 3.92 gears, versus just Level 1 equipment group on the second one and 3.21 gears. I would go for the first one.

Agreed. I'm sure I don't qualify for all of the discounts but for the 2nd truck my first conversation negotiations only got me an additional $4k off so that would basically cover the taxes, title, etc with not much to spare so I decided to keep looking then came across the the less expensive truck with more options.

And and it's less expensive and closer to where I live! Lol

To be honest I love my truck and every time I start looking online for trucks I think I want a new one but then go drive mine it makes me want to keep it. I guess that's a good problem to have.

If you love what you have, then I strongly suggest keeping it. I would still have mine but it was not meant to be.

^^^ Then this! LOL

I never had a Ram so I jumped on the 2019. But I have a funny feeling Ram will be making more substantial improvements in the next couple of years. But I don't think they will ever get rid of the forward rake LOL.

Yeah I hear ya and followed your ordeal. That sucks man. My reasoning is my current truck needs close to $1000 in upper control arm, lower ball joint, rear sway bar link bushings, etc and it has over 100k miles... I have some solid equity in my truck and would like to maximize that before it starts dropping.

With all of that being said, I can now see why you are looking to upgrade ( trade)....
