I bought my first house in 2000. 92,000 cad just a little post-war shack. The guy that built it out of salvaged material. I m pretty sure that he didn’t own a tape or a square. First brand new truck was a 15 Pw 101000cad. When I bought it it was my pride and joy the only thing that I bought for myself that was worth that much money. Now it’s apita I still like it but things are different now. I’m old and gas prices are way higher.

I feel so sorry for the youth of today the economy here has been in shambles for the last 15 years. Housing prices are so high and it’s like nobody has a good steady job. It used to be if you had a trade you could have a good living. Now not so much

All I can do is shake my head. A definite NO, here as well. A rich farmer that lives around the corner from me, who has always had multiple very high end toy cars has a TRX too. Says it eats premium gas like crazy.

If I were in a tax bracket of that stature. There are a lot of other nice toys I would much rather have.

I have owned 6 different houses over the years including my last one which I custom built myself and only one that we are currently living in was slightly over that amount.
Good point on building

I sold one earlier this year (3 bed 1 bath 1100 square feet) that I had spend less on than either one of those trucks is going for

I was military and spent a lot of time in Europe. I only bought my 1st house, the one I own now, when ordered back to CONUS from Europe, 3 bed, 2 bath, plus garage and 3 acres land for $81,000 and change.

Key phrase, "If you had a trade" I think that is still true, but many of the younger generation do not - college debt instead!

When I bought my pw times were good. Then Justin Trudeau happened. It’s been 10 years and things are only getting worse. I follow your politics fairly closely. Love him or hate him mr trump I believe is a true American
