Hey guys. I have a 2012 HD (ST) that Im putting 2019 HD Laramie seats in. Im not a wiring guy and need all the help I can get. I've read a couple threads on the topic on here and have pulled some valuable info from them.

I'd like to start by making sure my power functions all work, but don't have much of a diagram source for my 4th gen or the 4.5 gen I pulled the seats from. I want all heat and cooling features to work eventually, but for now, power and air bags obviously.

I remember seeing diagrams months ago but can't find the thread now. My 12 is a base model manual seat truck but did come with some factory wiring under seat. Not sure what its there for other than the airbags, but I dont know which is the airbag control either ha...

Thanks in advance- appreciate it!

You’ll need a 12 volt always on power source which you’ll likely have in the area.

Unfortunately you will not be able to make the heated and vented features work in the factory configuration. Your trucks BCM will not communicate with the HSM or the MSM in your new seats no matter what you do. You would need to wire the vent fans to a switch with 12v power and install an aftermarket seat heater kit with separate switches. You can make the power adjust features work by running a constant 12v power source to the solid red wire in the yellow seat connectors in each seat in the 13 to 18 seats but I'm not sure about the 19 HD trucks. I only have the schematics for the 13 to 18 trucks.

I don't think you can get 2019 seats to work in a 2012,May only work in 2014 up.To do with air bags and modules etc.

Thanks! Im not concerned with making it function as it did from the factory. Im ok with wiring in auxillary swiches and relays if need be. If I have to, Ill pull factory heaters and add aftermarket ones if need be.
