I can't remember if I asked this already or not but...
2018 2500 6.7L
New air filter, tube in the fender looks good/rigid, and bone stock but I'm still getting the "Service Air Filter" message under moderate to heavy acceleration.
Ideas?

I read on here of aftermarket filters getting collapsed under heavy acceleration. Word is OEM does not have this issue.

Is that a pre-programmed message that pops up after so many miles? Maybe that can simply be cleared like the oil change reminder.

It seems to only happen during acceleration. I have times where I can set the cruise for about 20 minutes and it doesn't happen.

Correction: It happens under mild acceleration

It happens under heavy acceleration, when it is trying to breath all the air it can get, the factory has some type of metal in it to prevent it from sucking into the engine.

Is there a chance there's some other kind of blockage in the intake? I live in the country and have had rodents build nests along the duct leading up to the air filter.

It's all clear. I pulled the whole tube out to poke at it in case it had a soft spot.
