Shifter locked up.

I just pulled into my drive and threw it into park, column shifter, went to pull the key out and it stuck, so I wiggled the shift lever as I usually have to put it back into gear and then put it in park again. Forgot to restart the truck so when I pulled the key out, the lever is in an odd position and will not move.....even with the key and the truck started......
2014 3500 Tradesman......any help out there?

Go to You-Tube and search "Ram shifter stuck in park". It shows an emergency transmission release.
It might help you.

After several video's I went out and pulled the dust cover off, no switch like the Durango....seemed to be firmly locked in an odd position......lots of play in the mechanism.....put my foot on the brake and it released......works fine.....this time.
Because I tend to be in a hurry, I suspect I take my foot off the brake before it is in park and this causes the hangup....
