I'm very happy with the Fox 2.0's. They're not overly costly and kept the supple ride while also providing much better control. I don't really offroad my truck, but do tow a toyhauler often.

I used rancho 5100. We pull a travel trailer occasionally otherwise the truck is a kid hauler and they work fine

Well, i hate to say it but extreme is a matter of perspective.

cost wise Bilstein would be a good aftermarket for the lowest cost, Fox is great but a little more expensive, but King!!. Buy once, Cry once. I bought King reservoir shocks and all I do is Tow but they are amazing. 2-3 times the cost of Fox though.
I have Carli's Commuter system and in my opinion it's hardly street tuned. I have a 2007 5.9 2500 4wd Cummins with a 300# shell , 200# of bagged gravel in the back and 285-75-17 Toyo AT3's set at 35# rear,50 psi front. Previously I bought Bilstein's from them and they were worse. CJC assured me that these were the one. This is a reply to the above post .

For the carli lift I wouldn't do anything but the King. I had the Carli lift with Fox and wasn't happy. changed to King and its great

My 2014 Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 Quad Cab has 150,000 miles... The ride is not as firm as it once was. I would like recommendations for shock absorber replacements from readers with similar trucks. I'm not looking for anything extreme or something for offroading, just a quality after market shock to replace the stock shocks. i run Michelin LTX on stock rims. Thanks for any advice!
Holstein, nothing else will do.

I used the rough country on my 14. Not the high end ones, just the cheap 2 for $100 front and rear ones. I could tell a big difference going form stock. Overall I like them and they didn't break the bank.
