Show Off Your Garage

[Midnight Storm]

I’m still in early planing for my dream garage. Hoping to get some ideas from y’all. The new one will house my truck and cargo trailer, boat, hopefully a hot rod and maybe a lounge mezzanine and or weight room.

I currently have a 24x24 attached to my house which fits the wife’s little Acura, my tools, bikes and general storage.
I did some tidying up today and am pretty proud of it. The bins are labelled and colour coded.

I've got an attached garage (26" wide x 21" deep) that works for me but eventually want to move out of subdivision life to the country with a lot more garage room for toys and stuff.

When I built my house, I had a leveled Dakota, so I have a 7’ garage door .... Best pc of advice I can give anybody building a house or garage, 8’ min garage door, and 9’ would be better ... The up charge to go taller is minimal ... I got an inch clearance with my 4” lifted Ram on 35’s ... It sucks ...

Wish I would have went with a 9' door, the tractor muffler is about 8'7". I need to modify it so it runs out the bottom.

We have a fairly small 1 car garage and the SWMBO keeps her RAV4 inside. Unfortunately truck lives outside.
Hoping to have a metal barn built up in the hills on our land so will have room for truck and a small tractor.

that's on my list of upgrades to the current house. I can get 8, maybe even 9. I have 10' ceilings so I plan on using a high lift set of rails too. I already have the side mount openers. i did a thing too, over my basement stairwell since it was wasted space. Camping and hunting gear stashed so it's out of the way, and it hopefully doesn't disappear when I'm looking for stuff. I plan to get matching bins for the stairwell storage.

Well in the two years I’ve been here I raised the trusses on the side the relocated HD9 lift goes put in new garage doors then realized that the headers needed raising so I ordered 2 21”panels I liftmaster and 1 chamberlain jackshaft openers took measurements for tech at clopay/ideal for all the track springs drums and cables.But it was the only way to deal with a truck and door ceiling fan ect.
