I have been on here looking at every thread I can find and still am not satisfied with my results. So...what I am wanting to do is replace the speakers in my doors in my cc without alpine system. I wanted kickers I thought but some have recently had issues with fitment. I am open to other speakers and what not just want them to go right in and not cause any issues-plug n play. Whats everyone running and hows the quality-fitment-and price. I am not to worried about $ but really just want great sound at decent price. Let me know what you got and I'll go from there, leaing towards 6x9's but not stuck on 'em.

I had infinity kappa's in my last truck and they sounded amazing. Had tweeters built into the middle. I wanna say they were about $120 a pair and well worth it. Also a decent amp and/or head unit will make the most difference.

Any high-performance 6x9 is going to be an issue. If it's not the actual basket size, like the Kickers, it will likely be the magnet size. The factory speaker holes are just badly designed as far as aftermarket speakers go. Even with the spacers on my fronts that let my Kickers fit, I still had a bit of an issue with contact of the door panel. Nothing major, but it's there. Probably the least hassle method is to get an adapter and go with a 6.5 round speaker. I'm a little sorry I didn't go that route myself, but I'm happy with my outcome none the less. I just had to do a little minor trimming and spacing. Do yourself a favor and whatever speakers you get, buy the wiring adapters to go with them. Much easier and you won't have to worry about figuring out which factory wire is ground and which one is positive because there's no marking on the OEM speakers and finding wiring diagrams for a '12 is next to impossible.

I agree with ^^^^ on those speakers and replacing the stock amp. You do have minimal depth to play with in the front doors. Right behind the speaker is a door brace or part of the window transport frame. You can't move it or cut it out. I'd pull those speakers and measure the depth, then find speakers that fit unless you want to build a ring to extend them out a bit. Sorry, I don't remember the exact depth measurement now. I helped a friend with a 2011 Sport solve the issue in 2011 but the dimension escapes me.

I have Hertz 2-way component speakers (dash & front doors) with a set of Kicker's in the rear for fill and a JL Slash 300/4V2 amp.

Frankly, anything you can do to replace the stock amp and speakers will be a huge improvement.

I am not aware of any other depth or fitment issues besides the front doors. Crutchfield says they have a lot of speakers for the front doors that will fit with a bracket. You might contact them for some info on this.

Thanks guys, have been looking at the kicker upgrade system available for our trucks. Made for our trucks so they fit and made by kicker and mopar, and they aren't any more expensive than the ones i was looking at on crutchfield, and they dont required adapters to hook up they are plug n play-think I'm gonna try them unless somebody on here has and was dissatisfied.

Can't wait to hear what you think of them! Remember you're supposed to flip the spacer around so they fit properly

Got these speakers installed finally. Went in super easy, plug n play. I changed all four speakers in less than an hour. The speakers I purchsed said they were for the front doors only but the fit the rears perfectly too. The sound quality is great compared to stock so I am perfectly happy with them.

Much clearer especially at high volumes over the stock ones. Still just running off factory HU so nothing spectacular but overall better. Ordered up some dash speakers a couple hours ago since there's just two and lot of guys think they make the biggest difference in clarity. We will c

I'm subscribed to this thread, seriously considering making this move. I desperately wanted to load subs but I just don't want to give up storage. I have 2 12" subs left over from my old truck but I think 6 new speakers is the better move. Keep us updated on how the new 3-1/2's sound!
