So this is the issue with the bright ass backup lights lol, I can’t image you guys running brighter lights. It washes too much out on the backup camera, prob bc they are low light cameras.

I have about the same issue. Two 18watt floods mounted by the spare tire.
I'm hoping it's just reflecting off the snow. Great light close up but it washes out most of the background.

Turned off

Yup! It will get alittle better without the snow reflecting all the light but not enough lol. With the low light backup cams it’s the opposite of “more is better”

Hey all. If you are looking to add a little extra reverse lighting, I thought I'd share what I did.
I had purchased some cheap, like maybe $20 for the pair cheap, Amazon 7" LEDs (Spot patterned) that I was going to mess with on the front of the truck. I ended up not using them so in a pile they sat. If I can find the link, I'll add that here.
I had been looking to do the rear bumper flush mount others had done here. I wasn't 100% on the look and it would be fairly permanent if I didn't care for it.
Anyway, I noticed if I flipped the brackets around, these would fit perfectly on the bottom plate of the stock hitch for those who have it. I lined it up, drilled two holes, mounted it up, then tapped it directly to the reverse light. It's hardly noticeable and sits pretty tight to the truck. I wouldn't recommend doing this with a high dollar light but it's been on there for a little over a year with no problems. A fog pattern may serve you better for width but I don't have any problems with blinding children in parking lots. Some poor shots below to give you an idea.

I added an 8" light in the same spot (6" would have fit better), I never thought about that spot until you posted those pics. I think the extra light works great, I can see out of my camera much better now and looking out of the mirrors has even improved. I have it just wired to the trailer light connections, I may add it to a switch down the road.
