Okay, maximum temp reached maybe 90 degrees Fahrenheit today out here at Soggy Bottom Acres. Didn't feel like cooking, so I made a run into town to grab some goodies for the missus and I.

...so when my truck's instrument cluster duly reported the temperature as being hotter than Saudi Arabia lit by the fires of Hell, it kind of threw me off.

As I started driving, things eventually got more accurate, eventually matching outside temps perfectly as I pulled into town. Now this got me to thinking: Where in the hell are they keeping the temperature sensor?

I scrounged around a bit, but perhaps one of you fine folks might already know?

pretty sure it's in the driver mirror. maybe both. i remember when i switched to tow mirrors for a while, the gauge wasn't as accurate and temps were always way off. back to my stock mirrors and it's a little better

Well doesn't that seem STUPID! No wonder mine seems so crazy. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it was figuring in the humidity and the "feels like" temp. Black mirrors = hotter

Saudi Arabia??

I'm in Arizona and deal with 120s! :)

It is in the drivers mirror and it's an ambient temp gauge. It should come down after a few moments of driving.

I wouldn’t be able to breath let alone work out there, **** that’s hot!!! I can’t even stand Jersey anymore, that’s why we are heading north where there are trees not people.

It's not that bad, we are in our Monsoon season, so pretty much every night it storms so it's nice. Just having a bad week with no storms!
But from July to September - it's hot - rest of the time it's amazing. And.. NO RUST!

In Arkansas it gets miserable thanks to the humidity. You can have a 90 degree day that "feels like" 112 on the thermometer. I really thought that was the difference. Today the humidity went down finally and the 90's felt comfortable for once but the rtemp was still off.

I never measured what the A/C is dumping from the drain line, but it's a steady stream of water. Our dehumidifier also pulls another 7 gallons every 24 hours on low.
