Hitch and bumper took brunt of the hit. Very slight contact on the left fender.

Ah man, that sucks. I'm always watching for someone to rear end me on my daily commute. Sometimes taking a hit in the hitch isn't the best. It can transfer big damage to places you wouldn't think of.

FYI, illegal in some states and providences (Illinois, Alberta) and others (California) may claim it blocks the license plate giving cause for a ticket.

my hitch is below my license plate, it doesnt even block the view of my bumper, if thats their justification then that could be fought in court easily
