I am about to attempt the 5.7 spark plug change for the first time. My question is if I should put any type of di-electric grease or other lube on the plug boots (coming off of the coil) after I install the new plugs? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, just a little bit on the inside of the boots. Treat them like a spark plug wire boot.

OK thanks, I went to take the first coil off and it was really hard to pry off and didn't want to break anything. I figured if I put something on them on reinstall, then next time they might not be as difficult.

Yeah, I had that issue the first time I did a plug change in my 5.7 as well. They were difficult.
