Just installed new plugs... What were they thinking with that back passenger side plug??? That one tok as long as the rest combined... Glad I'm done with it.

What kind of issues did you run into, interested because I am soon coming up on a plug change myself and it will be the first for me in my 4.7.

thats weird. it took no time at all to do the 4.7 on my durango. Id think it would be just the same to to the ram with more room. Just had to use a step stool to reach the back of the motor. I was happy they are at the top of the motor.

The main wire loom sits right over the top of that back plug and it was damn hard to get out of the way. Doesn't help that I have a torn ligament in my left thumb and can't use that hand much...just get that plug done first and it's smooth sailing! :)

High price, wow! It cant be even close to as hard as changing plugs on a LT1 or LS engine. I have fought tooth and nail on those. Having the right tools helps out a ton. I am getting ready to do the plug change on my Ram, gonna go with what I respect- NGK laser iridium spark plugs. Been looking to match the COPs with MSD or Accel replacements. Ignition upgrades done right, definitely improve throttle response/engine turn over time(combustion).

On the 5.7, the passenger side back 2 are a bear, but you can remove the fasteners holding the wire pretty easy. The back 4 on the driver side are rough as well, just remove the wheel liner and get in that way.

Put some foam on the front rad support and lay across the top with the intake off.
