Mine does it, and I've heard other 4th gens do it as well. I have to spray my hinges with WD-40 about once a month to quiet the squeaking.

I know it sounds crazy but the best thing to use is gun oil

try fogging oil. I stumbled across this fix when I went looking through my garage for WD40 and all I could find was fogging oil for my boat motor. So far it's lasted 3 months.

X2 on gun oil or 3 in 1 oil works great. I power washed mine and used the 3in1 oil 4 years ago and it hasn't come back yet. I live on a dirt road so I wanted to make sure I got all the dirt out befor I oiled it.

Usually the reason they squeak is dirt gets in dries lube and then comes a squeak. I would reccomend cleaning the entire hinge making sure you get all the dirt and sand out then use a white lithium grease. Unless your hinges are bad they will be just like new.

Yes lots of mudding lots of cleaning that's how I know.
