Yeah aftermarket is the way to go. This hood (the sport hood that is) is all for looks anyway.

Yup. I thought it was functional until I bought it.

"Functional" hood scoops. *pffft*

That being said that SRT hood is badass. I want the Carbon Fiber one, leave the scoop part carbon, paint the rest to match.

All the more reason to trade hoods with me :) Screw the dealer and get a little extra cash while you're at it. Win-Win scenario here. PM if you're interested.

I got another 1.5 years till I get rid of it. I gotta go on my deployment and come back to do it. But I'll keep you in mind for the Hood if you can wait that long.

Oh alright haha. Thanks for serving, and if I can't find someone who wants to trade I'll probably still be looking. Lot more I want to do to the truck before shelling out roughly $1300-1400 for the hood new painted.

If you look at the under hood picture (Inside the hole in the hood) you can see orange above the foam seal. This is actually a lip that surrounds the hole and has a drain hole (I put a small piece of windshield wiper fluid hose in it) and drains to the outside of that same foam sea (outside the filter box).... Make sense?

I can say that even with the "Nor-Easters" that we get here (or my driving 80mph in the rain) I have never noticed water hit the filter.
