I just got a duraflex srt style hood for my 2007.5 2500. Hoping the body shop I’m going to knows what to do with it, they told me it would be no problem. Looks like I have to drill holes in it for the grill to be put on. Anyone have experience with this? Wondering if the latch holes line up or if it needs modification. Also it says hood pins are required, but I don’t see anyone with these hoods that have the hood pins installed. Also wondering if the original latches will work for this hood or if I need extra bracing so it does not damage the hood.

I didn't need hood pins for my factory SRT hood upgrade.

All aftermarket fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods will say they require hood pins. The materials are not as strong holding the factory latch so there is a larger chance of it failing and your hood flying up. I have run several fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods and have not ran hood pins without any issues. However I have seen many that have also, so currently I am running hood pins on my current aftermarket hood.

I know this doesnt give you an answer yes or no but I hope it gives you enough information for you to make your own decision with this knowledge.

It's fiberglass, they suck, require an inordinate amount of prep work and most times still end up ill fitting.
OP should've put up a wanted post first, I have an OEM SRT hood that's been waiting for a new home.

Thats true in most cases. Most brands don't line up great and need some body work. I have had very good luck with fitment with fiber glass with Cervinis and a couple different brands for carbon fiber, like VIS Racing and Anderson Composite.
