I have a 2010 1500 4x4 4.7l truck that for about 2 years would occasionally delay start(turn ignition and 3-5 seconds for turn over). Now it won't turn over at all. Replaced starter relay switch to no avail. I can start it with a wire bypassing starter relay. For some reason power signal is not reaching and creating a circuit in starter relay switch. Any advice?
PS I have visually looked at wiring and nothing obvious.

15 year old truck, might be easier to just run a pair of wires from the relay socket into the interior and mount a stand alone starter switch somewhere easy to get at.
Any 2 wire momentary push button switch will work.

If you have lots of time and patience, that could be a fun project. Otherwise, Rick's idea would likely be much faster/easier.

To troubleshoot this problem, you will require a multimeter, they're less than $10 at Walmart or HarbourFreight, and an assistant to turn the ignition key.

Start with the ignition key cylinder wiring and make your way out to the starter relay. No magic shortcut available here, besides Rick's idea.

You can download a service manual here and use control F to word search using your favourite PDF viewer on a PC.

I have a 2010 ram 1500 with no dash lights. It will start every now and again I had the ignition mod rebuilt and programmed and still the same thing. Any ideas?
