I have a '97 1500 with 300k + miles and 5.9 engine that I don't drive much.
The other day luckily while in the driveway it died and when I went to restart absolutely nothing happened when I turned the key.
All the lights in the dash came on when I turned the key but there was no click from the starter or anything.
Checked all battery connections and all were clean.
Turns out the starter relay went bad so there was no signal or power being sent to the starter. Only $23 and all is good now.
