My daughter has a '99 1500 that she says lately has been giving her problems with trying to start it. She's pushing the clutch all the way in, but it will not try and crank unless it is in 1st gear. Seems a little odd to me since I didn't think the trans had anything to do with it cranking. Is this just coincidental? When she turns the key, everything comes on and works, just does not crank.
She informed me today that it wouldn't start even in 1st gear and she had to turn the key off and on several times and work the clutch back and forth before it finally cranked. Once it starts to crank, it start up just fine.
