Looking for any input on a new noise that started a few weeks ago. The best way I can describe it is sounds like fluid flowing thru a pipe or a whooshing sound.
It varies slightly when turning the wheel, can only be heard inside the truck and on the drivers side. I tried taking a video but it’s just not picking it up. It can be heard idling and while driving. I’m not seeing anything leaking under the hood either.
2019 2500 6.4 w/46k miles and no engine mods.
Thank you.

To eliminate variables, do you hear it when the air/heat is turned off? Does it make same sound in volume when truck is idling in park? And in drive? Have you recently had any work done to truck?

It’s the same noise level when driving and with vent/heat completely off. The only thing I’ve recent done was the steering shaft bushings and used the poly ones because I read some reviews the metal ones can cause vibration in the wheel.
Also forgot to mention, while parked,if I can get the wheel dead center the noise goes away. Move it half inch either direction it’s audible.

The boot that steering column goes through at the fire wall Spray wit with silicone spray common on many vehciles when things dry out it will make noise sometimes It sounds like what you describe.

Thank you I’ll take a look. The noise is there even when not moving the steering wheel so not sure that would be it but worth a shot.

Ok here’s the best video I could get of the noise. I didn’t realize I couldn’t just add a video from my phone so bear with me.

That’s the exact same sound mine is making after installing the EMF bushings, I was wondering if you ever found the cause.

I have not. I haven’t tried removing the bushings because they’re pretty well seated in there and my guess is removing them would also damage them and not allowed to be reinstalled.

My 2024 has made the same sound since new from the dealer. Just wondering if you or anyone has found a fix for it? it's at the dealer now being looked at but the tech didn't know what was causing it initially.

Are the trucks in question lifted or lowered?
