haven't found the answer yet....

Is there anyone at all that has out a larger tire on the stock 17" (265/70 tire) rim? I am wondering if I can go up a bit. maybe to a 275/something..

The outdoorsman trucks come with a 275/XX/17 stock. I can't remember the aspect ratio... Point is 275 width would fit fine, and you can't get a tire tall enough in that width to cause rubbing problems.

The factory 17" wheel has a 8" width.
285 is about the maximum width recommended for it.

I've stuff a 285 onto a 7" wheel before, it worked just fine for the 20,000 miles they lasted. I'll never do it again.
