So my antenna was stolen off of my 2015 Ram 2500 truck the other day. I was thinking of going with a Stubby Antenna this time but not wanting to take a big hit on reception as a do listen to the radio some still.

Any recommendations on a shorter antenna?

Not wanting to do the 50 Cal bullet antenna, and the antenna doesn’t have to be a super shorty either.

Factory antenna was hitting my garage door going in and out. Put on this one from a parts store(may have been auto zone?).
I did not notice any difference in reception.

Cravenspeed has good ones. They've done the math to make sure that the antennas have matching circuitry to minimize loss. Other cheapo's are just short antennas and RF wavelengths aren't considered.

I have a cravenspeed 6" and reception still very good. I listen to radio 75% and only minor issues with underpasses and certain area. I am in greater LosAngeles area so radio waves are really good. Can even pick up San Diego although not as well as oem antenna
Kinda depends on your location as to how well a short antenna will work

I did some research and landed on THIS ONE no loss in reception, although I'm in an urban area

Yep, I couldn’t believe that someone wanted my factory antenna that bad!

Made my own stubby with a cutoff wheel and some black paint. Reception is still pretty good, but I RARELY listen to radio these days.
