Damn $88K for a truck??
I’d never pay that for a truck.
I can get a decent house or 2 for that.

First things first...yes I am one of those who just about immediately changed out tires. Have a '17 2500 that came with the Firestone tires, not an impressive tire to say the least.
But now I must apologize for adding to my post for talking about something that is not meant to take it off track. McBroom's post put a smile on my face in regards to his comment about getting a house or 2 for 88K. Having worked for the federal government in law enforcement (retired now) I got to live in a couple of places. That gave me the opportunity to witness the vast spread of housing costs. I could only wish that $88k applied to me now. My last assignment took me to NYC and now live in NJ about 30 miles away. A building lot ( half acre is needed ) costs $350K-$450K. My taxes on my 3000sq.ft house on that half acre are $18K a year......................sorry for the diversion. But thanks for the memories of lower housing costs
**** I’m glad I live in Texas. I gave 115K for my brick 2000 sq ft 3 bedroom 1.5 bath on 3.5 acres. I’ve got a 2 car carport 2 brick shop buildings and an RV carport.
As a veteran I pay $0 in property taxes

Good on you...........ever stationed at Quantico?
You seem like a nice person, do you mind hot weather? You’re always welcome in Texas

And don’t forget the extremely relaxed gun laws too

-Hot weather is OK with me, its the snow that will get you.
-If you went through Quantico in 1990 we could have crossed paths, I was frequently there on TDY.
- Relaxed carry laws....if you thought housing costs were insane you should only see the carry laws. In NJ a firearm is defined as anything capable of shooting a projectile by for force/explosion. That means you NEED a permit to buy a PELLET GUN or a PAINTBALL GUN. In NY, where it is next to impossible to get a gun permit. carrying a weapon without a permit is a MANDATORY 1 year sentence. As a retired federal agent I need a permit, qualify every year, get finger printed and investigated by NJ State Police and the local department
stupid question of the day!
Why do the fog lights go off when I put my headlights on bright?
Fog lights are designed to light the roadway in fog. They are placed low to the ground where they can light the roadway, getting "under" the fog, without being reflected by the fog back into the driver's face. For the same reason, if drivers take any kind of formal driver training, they will also learn to use low beams in fog for the very same reason. No one is ever advised to use high beams in fog because it reduces the ability to see the roadway. The design of the lighting system is connected to proper and effective use.stupid question of the day!

There wouldn't be anything "wrong" if you could figure out a way to put them on. It's just that it isn't anything close to reasonable to expect the manufacturer to create a way to defeat the primary purpose of fog lights. "Primary" is maybe a key word here.I still don't see what's wrong with running the fog lights when using high beam. but it is what it is i guess.
