Synergy Drag Link thunking when turning

Team, I hada synergy Drag link installed last week and while driving the steering wheel would not stay centered it moved left or right? THEN today I hear a clunk when turning while stopped left and right

Crawl under the truck and you can move the draglink by hand like you were doing wrist curls again CLUNK CLUNK...

I call Synergy and they are sending new ball joints... But now I gotta pay to press them out and reinstall and re-do the alignment has anyonehad this issue?

Never had the issue, but you can press the ball joints in/out yourself for much cheaper; you just have to get/rent the tools to do the extraction and pressing (your local Auto McParts store should be able to rent the tool out to you.)

(in previous vehicles, I just removed the old ones with a hammer, a drift-pin, and a couple of wooden blocks; I used a big C-clamp w/ some scrap steel and a pipe wrench to push the new ones in... But, I'm a cheap bastich, and they do have and rent equipment specifically to extract and insert ball joints.)
