Tailgate lock.

New to the forum. Electrically challenged. I have a 2018 2500 tradesman. Could the in the bed bedlight switch be wired to trip the tailgate unlock actuator. Reading about all the recalls , frankly I'm scared to touch it. Just thinking outloud.

The bed light switch has nothing to do with the tailgate unlocking so you’ll be fine.

If you unlock from the fob they are all tied together. Problems?
