Lock Gremlins

Looks like I am a victim of the mysterious key fob won’t unlock doors issue. New 25 3500 with about 1k miles. Wife and I traveling. Parked to eat dinner. Locked doors. Came back to truck to grab something, key fob won’t unlock doors. No actuator sound. But the lights flash every time I push lock or unlock. Tried the connect app on my phone. Message said doors were successfully unlocked! Nope! Started the truck with fob. Works fine. Finally used the mechanical key. Opened door and started the truck. By the time I got back to the hotel. Locks and unlocks perfectly with fob. Truck has dual batteries. Voltage is good.

I called local Ram dealer. Service guy said they had seen this one other time and the tech fixed it by reprogramming or flashing something. But he couldn’t fit me in for 2 weeks. So I will continue our trip and hope it doesn’t happen again.

I have seen that on a Pacifica,brand new .Rear hatch did not lock with fob (actuator could be heard). IT fixed itself after a couple months and still okay 2years later.It is Stellantis Gremlins.I just was on another thread,saying the same thing to someone else.Stellantis is known for electrical issues.Sometimes it is a matter of wiggling a wire to achieve success.How frustrating in a vehicle that costs as much as you paid...

My 23 Limited only has about 9k miles and has been trouble free except for a few transient, odd ball issues. The only one that seems to keep reoccurring is canceling of the left turn signal. It comes and goes, sometimes on the same day. Having repaired/replaced a few analog turn signal switches on older cars this somehow doesn’t compute in my 75 year old mind. Just fail for good dammit - so I don’t have to waste my time taking it in and the garage finding it works OK. Very frustrating and very computer-like.
