Tailgate Recall

I saw the other day, the fix performed for the tailgate recall, is to place a small plastic spacer under the rubber boot that covers the actuator ", so it wont over travel, and eventually hit the latch & let the tailgate fall down !...... has anyone been able to find this part & do the fix themselves ?, looks like a 5 minute job, that you would have to wait 2 hours at the dealer to perform.....will the dealer parts dept. sell them ? $2 max cost, for the tiny plastic spacer, I would imagine ?

Took a total of 45 min. for mine when i had my 16 2500. Not sure if you can purchase the part.

I just waited till I had like 3 or 4 other recalls to have done, then scheduled it in. But I feel your pain.

Yep. Been saving them up since my '17 2500 CC was new. They're all so rediculously silly it seems. (Said the tough guy whose Ram popped in "N" and rammed his butt over, killing him, dead). LOL
