Anyone have this happening? It looks like it's a tape that can be replaced. Will this cause any problems like rust?

Mine is an 09 and I cannot get that crap off. Heat gun helps but the glue is years old. Any other suggestions?

Maybe a 3M rubber eraser wheel?
I know they're recommended for adhesive removal after de-badging.
My 2010 came off with some effort & a Harbor Freight heat gun, I had to get it hot enough to soften & needed gloves to grab & tear it.

Maybe a wallpaper steamer. Rented one to take interior window tinting off. If you get a layer of steam trapped under it working slowly from the bottom up it takes it right off, adhesive and all.

Try bug and tar remover for any of the glue that gets left on.

Glad to see these posts s mine has been peeling off a bit for a long while. Now that I know, it's coming off.

I had that problem with my 2015 and the dealer said that was normal and that they would put another one on under warranty. I told them to just take them off and call it a day but they told me that they had to replace in order to be under warranty. After showing them the stupidity of their ways, they removed and polished and billed Chrysler for the the new ones that were unused.
Under them is the body color finished. Dumb thing to put on there
