Ok so I got so cheap pilot lights at autozone and was wondering if I tap into my reverse, will they be able to handle the load. If they can anyone know the wires. If not I'll just run the harness but I'd like to just tap into the reverse lights but not sure if I really want to

Yea it will hold the load. I had 2 x 55w lights wired in on my 03. Worked great.

Just pull one of your tailights...find the reverse wire and tap it in. Your done.

Don't power them right from the reverse lights
You can use a relay from the reverse lights and get power from the battery

Hm I guess 55 watt lights should be fine
The actual reverse lights probably pull 2 amps each and the aux lights would pull 9-10 amps between a pair

If it was a light that was going to be on for an extended period of time..I would have ran a relay.

But a reverse light really isn't on very long at all...thats why I opted the way I did. Turned out great.

This is just my opinion tho lol

Yea see I plan on running it for maybe 10 minutes or so at the dock and at the storage building hooking up the boat etc.
