2013 ram big horn reverse shifting problem/question

I have a 2013 ram big horn hemi.
Console shifter 98K.

Problem is when i shift into reverse it will not i Have to go back to drive and back to reverse a couple of times for it to catch in reverse. The shifter will shift but tranny wont go into reverse.
Does not happen all the time but when it happens i can tell its not in reverse as the truck will roll forward and not reverse. Have to go back and forth from drive to reverse to get it in reverse.

Anyone have this problem and is there a part that might be out of adjustment?

Low fluid, split filter, bad cooler return filter allowing drain back.

Start the engine and let it idle in neutral for a min, then try. If that does it, do a fluid/filter service.

Bought truck 7 years ago with 92K and now 98K just use local 6K miles in 6 years and nice to have a truck.
So when I bought the truck, Started the Hemi tick in the exhaust broken studs so so had them replaced and they noticed the tranny pan have bad rust so had that replaced with new screen and fluid. So fluid done 6K miles ago. I dont recall when this started to happen but seems to happen more now but not all the time. Is this cable shifting or electronic shifting?

Cable connects to the trans, no linkage to speak of really. If the dash is displaying the gear then it's fine. Prior advice still stands.

Yes the dash does display when I shift in reverse, with foot on brake when I release brake its like in neutral put foot back on brake to shift back and forth until it shifts into reverse.

usally around $500 I would also have them scan your truck for trans codes. Also does this happen every time or only in the morning when you first fire it up?

It happens all the time the rear view camera will come on in the dash radio screen but no reverse.

Been searching the web and google and seems on the console shifting there is a cable and either the cable is stretched or the bushing on the cable that is attached to the tranny linkage is worn. So gonna check in next few days to see if the busing is missing.
