So I've been reading (manual and posts) on the TCS, BLD, & ECS functions, etc. Correct me if my paraphrased definitions are wrong and see my questions below. Thanks.
TCS; may apply brake pressure to spinning wheel(s) &/or reduce engine power. Could engage no matter how many wheels are spinning.
BLD; feature of TCS that applies brake to spinning wheel allowing more torque for non-spinning wheel on same axle. Could engage on rear in 2wd. Could engage on front &/or rear axles in 4wd
ECS; corrects for oversteer or understeer by applying brake to appropriate wheel; might reduce engine power. Could engage on any or all wheels whether in 2wd or 4wd. Partial Off or Full Off disables TCS but keeps BLD functional.

Q. How do TCS &/or BLD work in conjunction with an anti-spin axle?

Q. Should ESC be turned off (either Partial or Full) when doing even light off-roading?

I’ll be following to hear some opinions on how well the systems work in these trucks.

I’ve had other 4x4, some with wonderful systems and some that sucked.

With respect to your last question, IMO “it depends”. Most experienced off roaders want it off. The last thing I want most of the time is changes to power or braking I didn’t initiate. But there are certainly situations like a loose gravel curve where ESC could stop an inexperienced driver from going sideways and potentially into a rollover.
