I've got an Access Lorado roll up tonneau cover on my 2018 Big Horn. It had been on my 2015 Big Horn. Previously I've had this particular cover on several F150 XLT's. All were installed by me; all were watertight and never leaked.

When I got the Larado cover three years ago I installed it on my 2015 Big Horn. I noticed in heavy rainfall and after washing my truck I would get a trickle of water invade way up in the corners of the bed. I eventually figured out there is a small slit or gap between the "L" shaped rubber weatherstrip that is mounted on the top front edge of the bed and the rail that runs the length of the bed (for the velcro attachment and for support of the cover.) I always meant to plug the hole but never did anything about it. The old, "it only leaks when it rains", laziness, I guess.

This time I had the dealer swap it out for me, taking it off my 2015 and putting it on my 2018. I figure maybe with a professional installation job it won't leak. Nope. It has the same leak in the same spot. With the tailgate open and the cover partially rolled back, in bright sunlight I can see a small dot of sunlight on the floor of the bed. So, I've got the same pinhole or slit opening I had on my 2015.

Question: How would you go about plugging these holes? The truck is leased so I will want to be able to remove the cover and sell it when my lease is up.

i would think a small amount of silicon caulk would work.

It's a little difficult to visualize - can you possibly post a couple of pictures?

I could post pictures, but it'd be very difficult to see. I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Give me some time.

That removable caulk should work great. Goo Gone caulk remover works well also, though I've not used it in an automotive application before.
