'24 Laramie 4x4 6.7. Every time I drive over a speed bump or hit a pothole I get a "chirp" sound somewhere in the dash. This has been going on since I bought the truck new in '24, and hasn't changed in tone or magnitude. Is this a type of signal or is this thing falling apart? I'm reluctant to take it in to the stealer because they want to keep it for 48 hours.

This is going to sound a little strange but, there was an issue with the front brakes making a chirping sound when going over bumps. Had it happen to mine but it eventually went away after I lubed the metal brake pad hardware. One way to check if your issue is the same is to drive over a bump that you know youll get the sound, then drive over the same bump while you apply slight brake pressure. If the noise goes away then you just found the problem. If its still there then it could be a suspension issue and further diagnoses will be needed

Get a cat. That should take care of that nasty bird. :D

I’d probably bite the bullet and at least let your dealership take a look at it while you’re still under warranty. It’s probably nothing catastrophic if it’s been happening for a couple years. But if it’s a brake or suspension issue you don’t want to compromise safety.

I’ve got the same issue on my ‘24. Squeaking when driving over a bumpy road. Mentioned it the last oil change I went in for.

“Supposedly”, they put some padding/ insulation between the bezel ring and the dash (we think the squeak was coming from the dash area).

Well, it didn’t work. Next oil change I’ll be mentioning it again.
