In the 2003 repair manual, it says the calipers are rebuildable. It has instructions on how to remove the caliper from the truck, blow the pistons out with compressed air, inspect, and reassemble. I don't know if the calipers are the same from 2003 to 2005, but it'd be worth a shot. If you don't have a repair manual, search for 03DRM.pdf

Were you able to rebuild the passenger side caliper?

Whenever you replace hydraulic components that share the same fluid resivoir, it is usually aways best to replace them in pairs...

This is a bit late, but I have been off line with my laptop broken. But stuck brake pistons is rather a common event with motorcycles and we normally just take them apart, clean them up and re-assemble. But of course the good fix is to replace them. As previously mentioned in paires. Also when dealing with brake problems don't discount colapsed brake hoses causes the calipers to lock up or drag. Good luck and well done with the fix.

Just some other info to add...re...bad..luck..Don't know about the 2500 but the 1500 has two Bakelite Material-Type Pistons that tend to chip off at the edges. In extreme cold regions a re-conditioned Napa one for example can last as little as 4 months (sieze or leak fluid). I've been thru 2 of those in less than a year and luckely able to exchange them for another (before 1 yr warranty ran out). So I have no choice next time but to buy brand new at the dealer just like the 1/2 shafts (3 recons in two years and finally put Genuine Mopar in to solve that problem).
