Have my 1 month old 2014 1500 express crew cab with 5.0 u connect head unit.

I've done sound systems in the past years ago but never went high quality. I have a few amps left over the years. Some 10" subs, 12" subs and a digital 1 farade capacitor.

Thinking of a small premade box, maybe a low pass filter tapped into the rear speakers for the signal to the amp.

What's my best and cheapest option?

1. use the signal from the front door they have a much better frequency range.

2. all you need is a simple basic LOC for a sub. no need for a DSP or anything fancy for just a sub.

3. for the pre-fab boxes just pay attention to the airspace and make sure its suitable for your subs.

First throw the cap in a big box, better known as a dumpster first. For what you will do, you'll never need it.
