I did car audio back in the day 1980s haven’t touched anything since. I just picked up a scar dual 12 inch sub box, with JL 12W0v3-4 subs and I need some advice on what to use to power them and how to hook it up.
I have done some research and homework, so I’m not going into this totally blind. The specs on the speakers show that they are a 4 ohm, 75 to 300 Watt, RMS peak power of 600 Watt, frequency response is 22–250 Hz sensitivity is 85.6 DB.
My truck has the Alpine nine speaker system with powered subwoofer under the passenger side rear seat.
If I understand this correctly, I’m going to need an amplifier obviously and a LOC. Reading some posts here on the forum it appears that a PAC ANC-CH01 harness ( which bypass' the ANC under your drivers seat) it allows for a nice place to tap into your speakers to pull a signal for an LOC so you can get an RCA input to add and amplifier. this way you wont cut any stock wires. (tanks IDSanman, https://www.ramforum.com/threads/want-to-install-subwoofer-amplifier.201752/ post #2), however that advice is for a non-Alpine 6 speaker non amped system.
My problem is I can’t seem to find a harness that matches my truck on Amazon, is there another place to get one?
Once the problem of a harness is solved, I would love advice or recommendations on a LOC & AMP if some is willing to provide it.
