Thinking to buy

I am considering buying a 2008 1500 4x4 crew cab Big Horn edition. Is there anything I should know? Tranny issues? Differential issues? Engine problems? Electrical problems? I don't want to miss out on this deal so any tips you can give me would be great.

As with any used vehicle you will want to inspect it carefully, checking for leaks, signs of damage, abnormal tire wear, general vehicle condition.

My 2007 exhibited very little in the way of any real problems the whole time I owned it. The 3rd gen trucks were well built and by the time yours was built, all the little niggling issues had been pretty much taken care of by Dodge.

Just inspect it carefully and get as much service history on the vehicle as you can.

Look for rust. don't know where you (or the truck) are from but up north we experience lots of rust over the rear wheels, tailgate and the bottoms of doors.
