I would say 75% of the second gen rams still on the road have cracked heads. Does it make the motor run hot no not at all. These motor's have **** thin cast heads right from the get go and they crack between the valves.

What about the dragging fan clutch like Merc suggested earlier

If that was the case, and the temp wouldn't come up, then the thermostat would have to be stuck open.
