How did you get the rear springs in? I have followed the directions but I can’t get the rear end to drop enough to get them in. I have the end links and shocks disconnected, I have taken the brake line bracket off the pumpkin so it won’t stretch brake lines, I have taken off the e-brake brackets and the vent tube. I can’t get it to drop any further, looks like I need about 1-1.5 more inches (I know, that’s what she said). The only thing I see still connected would be that shock on top and the 4 link control arms.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Ya need to take the top shock off. It’s maxed out at the angle. That’s called the 5th link. It’s actually a 5 link suspension.
Most don’t even know it’s there on an HD truck

I kept looking at it today thinking about taking it out! I reinstall it after the springs are in correct? It says nothing about it in the instructions for the kit.
Thank you for the help, I’ll let ya know if it works.

Tough to see in the pic, haven’t had time to work on it yet today but here it is.

Thanks so much. That did it, rear springs went right in. All ready to go now.

Your truck makes my little 1500 look like a toy.

How are you liking the lift and the power steps?

Love them both, though the new lift was finished Tuesday and aligned yesterday so I don’t have a ton of time on it. It rides much nicer than the 3” spacer lift I had on it (though that lift was perfectly fine for over a year, just wanted to go higher)
The AMP steps are awesome once they are installed. It took me over 6 hours to get them lined up and working. They are a PITA to install but I love them now.
