After lurking in here for awhile and getting some great, albeit expensive ideas I figured I better contribute.
Just installed my thuren stage 2 king shock setup I got for a crazy good deal from Neil at maple off road in Sask Canada as he had someone back out on him and it happened to be exactly what I was looking for. Fortunate for me as I had no wait time ( not super patient ) and they weren’t to far from me.
I’ll be going to see Neil for some custom bumpers shortly after looking at his work on 2500/3500 rams he specializes in.
After running the bilstien set up up front and stock shocks rear for about a month,
I quickly realized while this set up is fine for most highways ( except most around here y’all would have to see to believe the confusion s of the roads in this province)
But I spend a good deal of time on dirt roads for work and for general travel I wanted something more.
After a fair amount of research I decided on my current setup thuren kings stage two as I encounter a lot of smaller bumps than big whoops and I chose the zone ucas because they use the standard ball joints if I was to go with a univalve type upper it would be kibbetech hands down, rims are 17x9 fuel podiums and tires are general grabber atx 35x12.50x17 I have zero rubbing issues with kings set at 2”. I wanted to keep the setup strong and simple as I’m planning on using this vehicle for overland adventuring.
To this setup I’ll be adding core 4x4 rear control arms, stabilizer links and adjustable panhard bar.
More of the outfitting of the truck for travel as it progresses.
I have only driven a couple of hundred kms on dirt but the improvement is more than I could have hoped for. So much more control over washboard and they potholes, actually a very Odd sensation traveling over the same roads as I did previously and the truck hardly seems to move, you hear the suspension working and the impact of the bumps but you don’t feel them and the truck stays arrow straight. The harder I push the better it works. Well worth what I spent I feel and there is just no comparison to the Bilstiens.
I recently got rid of my 2018 raptor and so far I feel this setup I have is actually better just not sure it would handle airtime as well as the raptor did giving up roughly 4” of suspension travel.

I will post up more pics soon of install etc
